MEMORIES OF ROCK & ROLL pays tribute to the heyday of rock and roll, as viewed through the eyes of Alan Freed, the famous disc jockey who coined the phrase.

Freed recounts his meteoric rise to fame and power in radio, and reveals insights into the music and the people that shaped popular American culture in the 50s. Freed is played by Singer/Raconteur Derek Marshall, the star of Vegas Knights, last season’s smash hit at Hudson Village Theatre.

Accomplished actor, singer, musician, and Hudson Village Theatre favourite Aaron Solomon (backed by a 5-piece band of world-class musicians) performs the greatest hits of a host of musical superstars: Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper, Roy Orbison, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, Chubby Checkers, and many more.

With songs like Rock Around the Clock, Johnny B Goode, At the Hop, Shake Rattle & Roll, plus a host of countless other great hits, you will enjoy two hours of non-stop rock and roll, and a little bit of life and history from one of the most important eras in American popular music, as it comes to life in the MEMORIES OF ROCK & ROLL.
