The year’s Pantomime runs from December 12, 2025 to January 4, 2026.

Auditions for Panto will take place from FRIDAY, JUNE 27 to SUNDAY, JUNE 29.

PETER PAN THE PANTO

All children, except one, grow up… On the hunt for his pesky shadow, Peter Pan meets the Darling children in their Nursery. With a sprinkling of Tinkerbell’s fairy dust, Wendy, John and Michael leave Nana the Dog behind on a flight to Neverland – a magical place home to lost boys, mermaids and the most villainous pirate of them all; Captain Hook! With Mrs Starkey and her bumbling son Smee by his side, Hook seeks revenge against Peter Pan who fed his hand to a tick-tocking crocodile. Will the boy who never grew-up rid Neverland of Captain Hook forever? Will the Darlings find their way home to London?

And, most importantly, do you believe in fairies?

Audition Dates & Times

Friday, June 27, 7 -10 pm
Saturday June 28, 10 am-4 pm.
Sunday June 29, 9 am-12 pm

Notes:

1) All roles are open to actors of any identity or age. However, we will ensure that age-appropriate casting is observed. Specifically, roles that involve more mature or age-sensitive content will be cast with actors of an appropriate age, in order to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all performers.

2) If you choose a role which is required to sing a song, you will be sent by email the new lyrics, the original version, as well as this version without vocals which you will need to sing at your audition (you can have the lyrics with you whilst you sing).

3) You may be offered a role that differs from what you initially envisioned. Please know that this is a reflection of the unique talents we see in you and our belief that you can make a valuable contribution to the success of Peter Pan the Panto, even in a different role. Every part is important, however large or small, and we will be excited about what you bring to the production.

4) You will be measured by the costume team during the audition. This is to allow them to start making the costumes as soon as the casting is completed after the auditions. Please do not assume it means you are automatically getting a role.

5) We are dedicated to creating a fun, inclusive, and polished production within a safe and caring environment. If you are cast, you’ll become part of our Peter Pan Panto family—where every member is valued, supported, and encouraged to shine. Together, through teamwork and creativity, we’ll make something truly magical happen at Hudson Village Theatre.

ROLES

TINKER BELL A pixie/fairy with attitude! Approximate Age Range: Teen to Young Adult (15+)
Sassy, expressive, and will need strong physical acting and strong vocal skills.
*Audition Note: You will be required to sing, Don’t Stop Believing (original by Journey)

JOHN DARLING Adventurous and pragmatic son of the Darlings. Approximate Age Range: Older Child to Teen (10–14)

MICHAEL DARLING The youngest of the Darlings. Approximate Age Range: Child (6–10)

WENDY DARLING The headstrong, eldest of the Darling children.
Approximate Age Range: Teen to Young Adult (15–25)
Mature for her age, nurturing yet adventurous. Needs poise and strong vocal presence.
*Audition Note: You will be required to sing, Walking in the Air (original in The Snowman)

DAME DARLING/LADY STARKEY (The Dame) Approximate Age Range: 30-60+
Mother of the Darlings/A raunchy pirate wench – Smee’s mother. The Dame.

MR. DARLING/CAPTAIN HOOK Officious Father of the Darlings/The dastardly pirate. Approximate Age Range: 30-60+
*Audition Note: You will be required to sing, Bad Guy (original by Billie Ellish)

PETER PAN The boy who never grew up. Teen to Young Adult (15–25)
*Audition Note: You will be required to sing, Let’s Dance (original by David Bowie) or Forever Young (original by Rod Stewart)

SMEE The bumbling, lovable first mate, son of Starkey. Approximate Age Range: 16-60+
*Audition Note: You will be required to sing, I’m Now Captain (original I’m Still Standing by Elton John)

BELLA BELLA Daughter of The Neverlanders Boss. Approximate Age Rangee: Teen to Young Adult (15–25)

BIG BOSS WILLIE The Italian Godfather of the Neverlanders. Approximate Age Range: 30-60+
*Audition Note: You will be required to sing, He Saved Her (original She Loves You by the Beatles)

THE LOST BOYS Approximate Age Range: 10-60+

TOOTLES – Sweet and sensitive

NIBS – Brave

CURLY – Clumsy

SLIGHTLY – Thinks he’s clever

THE TWINS – Looking similar and with coordinated behavior

ADDITIONAL CAST (Chorus+ roles) Approximate Age Range: 10-60+

*The Chorus will be on stage a lot and will appear as multiple roles, some with lines.
