Flashback:

Memories of the Summer of Love

A Chris McHarge Production

May 28-June 1, 2025

Take a journey from innocence to experience is explored with tales of the music and social conditions of a decade that changed America. The trip begins with the Beach Boys music from the early 60s. Along the way we experience the British Invasion with Gerry & the Pacemakers and Herman’s Hermits; and the pop music of the Monkees and Sonny & Cher. A little further down the road, we are immersed in the folk and protest songs of Peter, Paul & Mary, Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, and Joni Mitchell. The trip culminates in a recreation of the Monterey Pop Festival in San Francisco during the Summer of Love. You’ll be swept away by the music of Janis Joplin, the Byrds, the Association, Jefferson Airplane, Simon & Garfunkel, and the Mamas & Papas. Relive the music and emotions, the struggle for change at the heart of the 60s, and rekindle the spirit of the Summer of Love.
